How it works Pricing The 30-Day Deployment Book a fit call

For engineering firms

Claude for engineering firms: your best people's judgment on every job.

I set up Claude inside civil, geotechnical, environmental, water, and transportation firms of 25 to 300 people. Your standards, checklists, templates, and past jobs become what it works from, so every job starts from how your best people work, not only the jobs they have time to touch.

What it is.

Your senior engineers carry the firm's standards in their heads: what a clean report looks like, the comments the reviewer always makes, the format each municipality wants. Most of it is written down nowhere.

I turn that knowledge into files Claude reads, on your firm's own accounts: checklists, templates, and example reports. Your standards, calc templates, and municipal formats live in files your engineers can read and edit. Claude drafts and checks against them instead of against generic rules. What gets written down stays when people leave.

Where it usually starts.

These are examples, not promises. We shortlist one on the fit call, based on where your hours actually go, and confirm it in week one.

  • QA/QC pre-checks at the 30, 60, 90, and 100 percent milestones, run against your own checklists before the reviewing engineer opens the set
  • Report-versus-plan consistency checks, so the numbers, references, and conditions in the report match the drawings
  • Technical reports drafted from your templates and the field data, for an engineer to edit instead of retype
  • Bid and RFQ monitoring for firms that chase public work: new postings that fit you, flagged with a short summary

What stays with the engineer.

The engineer of record makes every engineering judgment. Claude drafts, checks, and flags. It never seals a drawing or signs a report. A pre-check adds to your QC procedure; it does not replace it, and the reviewing engineer is still the check that counts.

Anything that sends, posts, pays, files, or speaks for your firm waits for a person to say yes. How the controls work.

How the first 30 days run.

One workflow, up to five of your people, live work. In week one we time the work as it runs today, with your own stopwatch. In week four we time the same thing again, and you get a written recommendation: continue, refine, or stop.

The full outline is on the 30-Day Deployment page. If you would rather start smaller, the Diagnostic shows where your hours go before you commit.

Questions engineering owners ask.

Does it replace engineers?

No. It takes drafting and first-pass checking off your engineers' desks so their time goes to judgment and review. The engineer of record still makes every call, and nothing goes out under a seal unless an engineer put it there.

Where do our files live?

Where they live now: on your own computers and in your own storage. Claude reads them through your firm's own accounts, so Anthropic processes their contents under its business terms. I never log into your systems. More on data.

What if we use Microsoft 365?

That works. Claude has a Microsoft 365 connector for SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Teams. It sees only what each person can already open, your Microsoft admin approves it, and write actions stay off unless your admin turns them on.

What does it cost?

The 30-Day Deployment is $10,000. The Diagnostic, a smaller paid first step, is $3,000. After the deployment you can continue on a flat monthly retainer with a three-month minimum, priced from what the deployment showed. Claude accounts are billed by Anthropic, separately.

What do we need to have ready?

One workflow your busiest people complain about, a person on your side to own it, up to five people to use it, and a few past jobs to work from. The Claude accounts are in your firm's name. If you don't have them yet, your admin sets them up in week one and I walk them through it.

Start with one workflow.
